Humanitarian Response in Conflict Affected regions

EMwA implementing a project on Humanitarian Response in Tigray, Afar, Amhara,  and Benishangul Gumuz regions with the financial support of UNFPA to increase access to sexual and reproductive health and rights, ending preventable death of mothers, newborns and children under five years of age. 

Core Activities

  • Restoration and recovery of damaged health facilities
  • Enabling facilities to provide minimum initial service package of SRH service in the facilities
  • Capacity building in the facilities through training and mentoring
  • Strength referral system from the community to health facilities
  • Improve health service utilization through awareness raising and demand creation
  • Availing psycho social first aid services for the communities in conflict affected
  • Provide essential SRH services in the IDPs, host Community and hard to reach community
  • Assist in transitioning from Minimum to more comprehensive SRH services in the facilities

Project Goal

To improve the sexual and reproductive Health services in minimal functioning health facilities and sustain service provision and helping health facilities transit to comprehensive SRH provision in the health facilities.
