EMwA is a professional association, striving for the excellence of Midwifery care practice to provide quality care for women, Newborn, Children, Adolescent and youth through strengthening self-reliance and influencing for change
The Ethiopian Midwives Association developed its online membership management system with the support of UNFPA. The system allows online Members registration, and renewal.
More than 30 organizations have been accredited by the association so far as CPD providers. Twelve CPD courses were developed by EMwA, and eight of them were accredited. CPD is one of the main regulatory requirement for re-licensure.
The Ethiopian Midwives Association implementing different projects in collaboration with UNFPA, Jhpiego, Nuffic, Health [e] Foundation, Pathfinder and Laerdal Foundation.
